Common Questions About This Service

Do you charge extra for king-size or California king mattresses?

Yes, slightly. Twin, full, queen: $79 curbside. King and California king: $99 curbside. Inside removal is the same minimum ($149) regardless of size, since the bottleneck is the carry, not the mattress itself.

Can you remove a box spring along with the mattress?

Yes. Box spring as an add-on to a mattress pickup: $49. Box spring standalone (no mattress): $79. Some box springs are split (two pieces for a king bed) - we take all the pieces for the same add-on price.

What if my mattress might have bedbugs?

Tell us at booking. We still take it; the disposal path is different and there's a small special-handling surcharge. Wrap it in a sealed mattress bag before we arrive (available at hardware stores for $10) - this prevents spread to our truck, the hallway, and the next customer's home.

Where does my old mattress actually go after pickup?

Mattresses in donation-grade condition (rare - most don't qualify) go to a donation partner. Most go to a mattress recycler where the materials (steel, foam, fabric, wood) are separated and reused. Mattresses that can't be recycled (bedbug exposure, severe contamination) go to a permitted disposal facility.
