We're not just haulers. We're committed to keeping as much as possible out of Chicago-area landfills through a multi-tier disposition process.
Our Three-Tier Disposition Process
Every load we pick up goes through the same process before anything reaches a landfill:
♻️ Donate First
Furniture, appliances, clothing, and household goods in good usable condition are delivered to Chicago-area nonprofits, Goodwill stores, Habitat for Humanity ReStores, and community organizations. We assess every item before deciding it goes to disposal.
What qualifies: Furniture without major damage, functional appliances, clean clothing and textiles, kitchen goods.
🔩 Recycle When Possible
Metal, cardboard, electronics, and mattresses are routed to certified Illinois recyclers:
- Metals: Scrap metal recyclers throughout the Chicago metro
- Electronics (e-waste): Illinois Stewardship Alliance certified collectors
- Mattresses: Mattress recycling facilities that break down springs, foam, and fabric
- Cardboard and paper: Standard recycling stream
🗑️ Responsible Landfill Disposal (Last Resort)
Only what can't be donated or recycled goes to a licensed Illinois disposal facility. We use licensed transfer stations and never dump items illegally.
Our Impact in Numbers
Hazardous Materials We Can't Accept
Some items require special disposal beyond what our standard service can provide. These include:
- Paint (liquid or wet) - Chicago's HHCR program handles this
- Household chemicals and solvents
- Propane tanks (exchange at Home Depot or hardware stores)
- Motor oil and automotive fluids (AutoZone and O'Reilly accept these)
- Asbestos-containing materials
- Medical sharps and biological waste
